Here it comes...

Though I have not yet figured out how to rotate pictures I took from my phone; here are some sketches of the chess board wedding cake I made for my brother and my new sister:

I hope to have pictures of the cake itself soon- but was stressing about the heat and the size the day of and couldn't bring myself to snap a shot for fear it would seal the deal of another caketastriphy...

Here is a small image of the first corse of "Adventures in Food Cartography"

Guests were asked to stand in front of a map made up of small tastes designed to flow into the next flavor.  Other highlights in this meal included "excavating" through individual edible cracker bowls hiding three unique curries- and popsicles representing the layers of the earths crust.
